Ben's Birthday Party

On Saturday we had a little party for Ben, lots of babies and a few of my friends all came to my house, we played party games but I wasn’t allowed to win the pass the parcel because my mummy says that I always win it at other parties so it would be far too embarrassing to win it at Ben’s party......so I won Pin the Tail on the Donkey instead!  My mummy was sooo embarrassed!  On behalf of Ben, I would like to say thankyou for all the kind presents that he received that I can now play with!

Ben's 1st Birthday

My little brother has had his 1st birthday!  I had to go to school as normal but we were allowed to wait to open Ben’s presents until I got home.  I then helped him to open all his cards and presents!  He got some more great toys but he now has a ride on tractor and a trike to ride on, we just need it to stop raining now!  My grandparents and uncles came round to our house and sang happy birthday to Ben and he didn’t cry!  I blew his candle out for him though!

New Year's Eve

We couldn’t go to the party at my friend Oliver’s house because I had to stay at home and rest, so we had a very quiet New Year’s eve, although my mummy and daddy did get to meet Sophie and Louie.....on Face Time!  My daddy recorded the fireworks on the tele for me and I watched them lots and lots in the morning.

Hospital and Cancelled Visits

We were supposed to have lots of baby visitors and meetings after Christmas, we were supposed to be having baby Grace coming to stay with us, and we were supposed to be meeting the baby twins, Sophie and Louie.  But we were all poorly with coughs and colds so we had to cancel everything!  But we did get to watch lots of DVD’s and I got to eat lots of chocolate!

On the Friday I wasn’t feeling very well and my mummy asked the nurses to come and see me, I hadn’t seen them for soooo long.  My sats weren’t very good so the nurses said I should go into Macclesfield hospital so the doctor could check me over.  They decided that it had been such a while since I had been that I should really have a sleepover so they could make sure my sats didn’t get any worse, so me and mummy had a night out!  My daddy stayed at home with Ben but I think he had the worst nights sleep, Ben kept him up lots and lots, he he!  The consultant who saw me in the morning already knew me, he had been working at Alder Hey and been in meetings discussing me, he said I could go home because my sats had improved and they couldn’t find anything else wrong.  I was told to rest lots though so DVD’s, chocolate and my sofa it was!

Christmas Day

I woke up on Christmas day and I had lots of presents! I was allowed to open my stocking presents upstairs which was really ace, and I opened Ben’s for him because he is too little to open his own!

I wasn’t allowed to open my downstairs presents though until I had eaten some breakfast, the torture of eating weetabix when all those presents were looking at me was too much. Eventually I was allowed and I got lots of nice presents from my friends and family and I would like to say thank you very much to everyone for all of my presents and all of Ben’s presents...we love them all!

I got a Buzz Lightyear, although this was really for Ben but I put it on my list. A talking Jessie Doll, a Rapunzel Tower, a baby Rapunzel dress, a Bonnie from Toy Story 3 doll. I also helped Ben to open his presents, he got a really cool car garage which I have helped him play with lots and an alien space station which I helped him to choose!

We went round to my Granny and Grumpy’s house for Christmas dinner and I ate lots, even some turkey! I got lots of nice presents as well. Then I went to my Grandma and Grandad’s house where I got some more nice presents but I also got some new dresses which my Auntie Irene had made all by herself. There was a yellow one, a pink one, my favourite green swishy one and a black one, but I didn’t like the black one it was too itchy! My Grandma and Auntie Irene were a bit surprised because they thought the black one was the best, but a child’s job is to always keep the adults guessing! Thank you very much though to my Auntie Irene!

Christmas Eve

I have had a wonderful Christmas Eve, I went to the Christmas service at Prestbury church on Christmas eve, and I sang lots and lots. I was allowed to go to the front of the church with all the other children which was really exciting, we sat on the floor and the vicar read us a story. Ben came to but he wouldn’t sit still! We went to Pizza Express afterwards for a meal which was really nice, I love Pizza Express!

At home, I left Father Christmas a little drink of sherry and a mince pie, and I left Rudolf some carrots and some water in one of Chester’s bowls. In the morning there was pieces of carrot everywhere, I think Rudolf must have very bad table manners as he made quite a mess, even worse than Chester!

Christmas Tree

We haven’t got a big Christmas tree this year, it is nothing to do with the economy, it is because Ben can’t be trusted not to pull it over and cut himself by trying to eat a bauble, my mummy and daddy don’t want to have to go to hospital with him so we now have a little tree which is on the coffee table in the corner and is protected by another table and my little pink chair just to Ben can’t get to it.....but he is trying!
