Daddy's writing
We are calling this story Daddy's writing as he is writing this bit.
I have still got a bit of a chesty cough, it's not a cold but it is my lungs adjusting to the new plumbing. My doggy Chester is now snoring and I don't like the noise, but it is nice to have him back home.
My legs are still a bit weak, but I have managed to walk to the park and I have had a few visitors which has been lovely and really perked me up. I was sick before going to Toys R Us on Saturday though, it must have been the excitement but it worried my mummy a bit.
I am now a lot brighter as the sedatives have worn off, but I think I have got post traumatic stress syndrome (my mummy has been reading the side effects of children's heart surgery), I am very scared of flies now and terrified if my little brother lets go of my mummy or daddy's hand when he is walking to the park!
I was visited by the Macclesfield hospital community nurses at the weekend, and my sats were 92-95! They thought the machine was broken, in a good way!! But my fingernails are pink and my toenails are pink, my mummy was very very happy!!!
Hannah's Writing
I am still not back to my old self daddy! It is very late at night and my little brother is still not relaxed into bed for bedtime, ooooh that boy!!
I had a nice time in hospital. But it's nice to be back home. I am feeling happy and my favourite balloon is the flowery one with flowers near the get well bit. I am just going to watch Coronation Street for a bit with mummy and daddy and myself. (this bit had been written by Hannah all by herself)

Friday 7th June
I have had a nice couple of days relaxing at home, I have even walked down to the little park near our house and had a little play
I am now off my sedative medicines and am feeling a little more lively and I am eating well and getting all my favourite meals.
I am going to Toys R Us tomorrow with my Grumpy, when I was very poorly in Intensive Care he promised me he would buy me anything I wanted from Toys R Us so I am taking him up on it!! Hehe

Wednesday 5th June
Today is my last day on the sedation medicine, my daddy says that my pupils are now back to the right size, apparently they have been a bit big lately.
I have been on a couple of short walks to my Granny's house, and even sat on my swing in my back garden today.
My little brother has been making me laugh and laugh today, he has decided that he now has his own chair in our lounge, my daddy is slightly confused, he says that when he was a boy his Grandad used to have his own seat and that nobody was allowed to sit there either! That boy!!
I have had lots of messages and lots of get well cards, so a big thank you to everyone xxx

Monday 2nd June - A bit wobbly
I have had a very nice quiet day, my cheeky little brother has been running around all day which has been nice, that boy!!
I have had a nice bath this morning and washed my hair, all of my plasters have now fallen off, so all I have on me now is clothes!!
My legs are a little bit wobbly but I have managed to walk all the way round to my Granny's house today and I sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine.

Back Home!
I had a lovely night with my daddy camping out on the top of K2 again and this morning the doctors said I could go home.
My mummy packed up our things from Ronald Macdonald House and I went for a little walk with my daddy to intensive care to give them a thank you card and some chocolates for looking after me and making me better.
We then said goodbye to the doctors and nurses on the top of K2, then we went through them doors, down them stairs, up that corridor and got in our car to go home, via Toys R Us of course!!!
When I got home my house was all decorated with balloons and streamers, I think my cheeky little brother did it, that boy!!
It was so nice to see my little brother Ben again and he was very excited, it is soooo nice to be at home and I am off to bed for a nice quiet, long sleep, as long as that boy doesn't keep me awake!!!

Saturday 1st June - Day Release
I was looked after last night by my daddy.
My last sedation medicine has been reduced this morning, I am now on a dose that I can take home, but the doctors want me to stay a little bit longer just to check that I don't have any withdrawal issues. I have had my last cannula taken out as well.
But I have been allowed out today, my mummy and daddy took me to Macdonalds (the restaurant not the family accommodation) for lunch and I had a happy meal which made me very happy. We went through the drive thru as I am still a little bit weak and we went back to Macdonald House to eat it (the family accommodation not the restaurant).
After lunch my mummy and daddy took me to see their room in Macdonald House, it is called Cheshire Cat which is nice. In their room there were some of my cuddly toys which my mummy has been cuddling at night, Neville the Elephant, Derek the Donkey and Cerys the Welsh Camel. They have all spent a lot of time at Alder Hey when I was a tiny baby, and Cerys even went into both of my heart operations when I was little. She wasn't allowed this time as they have changed the rules, no cuddly toys in the operations or in Intensive Care until after a week, very boring!
We also had a Chinese take away for tea in the new and very posh parents room at the top of K2. I am now very tired, there are babies crying and I am camping out again with my daddy on the top of K2!
