A Nice Friendly Face

I have been looked after all night by Andrea and I have had a really nice settled night, my oxygen levels are much better. I am being a very good girl, I have been listening to my nurses and doing exactly what they ask me to do. I woke up a little bit in the evening, my nurse told me that my mummy and daddy had gone for their tea but my Grandma and Grandad were sat with me, the verbal stand off is still in place so they were banned from talking to me, but I did give them a little smile. I am still heavily sedated, still ventilated and am asleep most of the time. Then in the morning, my mummy and daddy's friends Nick and Helen's sister in law arrived at my bedside to look after me (She is a ICU Sister at Alder Hey), i thought that was really ace until she promptly nicked my chest drains!! I am now much more comfortable though now those horrible drains have been pulled out of my chest and the holes sewn back up, so I didn't pick a fight. My mummy is also very relieved because she was dreading my drains being taken out if I was awake on the top of K2. This afternoon I have been looked after by Gina, my Granny and Grumpy have been to visit me, and I now have a firm grip of my mummy's hand and am refusing to let go!

Lovely to hear you are feeling a bit happier and got rid of those nasty chest drains. Lovely for your Mummy too to be able to hold your hand. We are all so proud of you for being so brave! Mummy and Grandma have been to have their hair done today whilst I have had some time with my Daddy. Peaceful day as my three brothers have been at school!!

I was in trouble last night for being so bossy to my brother Joshua and making him nearly cry. The shame of it, my Mummy put me on the naughty stair - I couldn't believe it, being in trouble for telling my brother what to do. My reputation for being bossy is now well and truly intact. Can you let me know when you are feeling better how you keep your little brother Ben in check, I think I need some tips.

Speak to you soon and take care!

Hi Hannah, finally Mummy has worked out how to leave a message for you after several attempts over the weekend!! Yes she has opened a google account. Really pleased to hear you are making such good progress and holding your Mummy's hand. We missed you last Friday at the Infant party. We got to wear our own clothes to school and had lots of fun. Guess what they played at the end of the party... Gangham style, at school, can you believe it!!!! It was very cool. Missing you lots. Love Aisling xxxx
