Wednesday 12th September

Today aged 1 month and 1 day I have commenced my mountaineering career. I have reached a big place called K2! Many of you will be thinking I mean the mountain in the Himalayas. Silly! I have made it to K2 @ Alder Hey, much more difficult!

K2 is the ward for 'cardiac' babies, as I am now labelled, well it is better than being 'Ginger' like my dad! It is the ward where I keep an eye on the doctors and nurses whilst I wait for my operation. They have evicted me from Intensive Care as they were not happy about me charging for my teaching. I was being looked after by Claire and I was busy teaching Lindsey the student again. I have to admit I was crying a bit, babies crying are not allowed on Intensive Care, so I am off!

I was escorted down the corridor by Claire and Lindsey as well as a nice young porter gentleman. Tracy is my new nurse in the top of K2. In the afternoon Alice looked after me (Alice is Claire's sister, the Claire who looked after me on my first night only) its a small world! At night my nurse was Magella.

On top of K2 my mum and my dad have to do more, like changing my nappies and helping feed and clean me. Don't worry I have still got some wires and machines so I can conduct the lie detector test!

I have got my friends with me as well, Aurora the Tiger, Maximoo the Moomin, Ted the Bear and Cerys the Welsh Camel. Derek the Donkey and Nelly (nee Neville) the Elephant are also here most of the night except they don't do nights, they go and sleep in my mum and dads room.

I have had a nice day, lots of cuddles again and I am plotting which mountain to conquer next!
