The doctor came to see me today to take some blood from me. She asked me if it was OK and when I agreed she drew four circles on me with her pen. I have been here a while now and I wouldn't yet class myself as a doctor, but I do know you won't get any blood by drawing on people! I will make sure I teach my medical students about this.
Next my nurse Andrea came and had a go, I thought she would know better but she rubbed some cream on the circles. Strange! Maybe they are trying some alternative therapy to fool me.
After about an hour, the doctor decided the alternative way wasn't working so came back armed with a needle. Ouch! She did leave me with some blood, but filled about 6 containers, these are my pre-op bloods to test that I am OK to have my operation.
In the afternoon I was looked after by Joanne. They wanted another wee pot filling, my dad thinks he is good at collecting my wee, so I thought I would show him! I performed almost immediately and filled the pot, but not with wee. He He! I then made him wait nearly three hours for my next performance! He was complaining about cramp, I am not sure what this is though! But he sounded silly!
My nurse at night was Wendy and I behaved all night for her. Another good nights sleep.
