Tuesday 25th September

Today I decided to go skiing on the top of K2. However I don't think I was very good, I ended the day with splints on both my arms and my right leg. My left leg was the only one without a splint so it ended up with my oxygen level monitor taped to it and my hospital tag attached. My mum and dad said they went skiing for a day and they were not very good either, so my limited ability must be down to them. Obviously not my fault! I have demanded a personal trainer!

I had two more gifts presented to me today, a nice pink rabbit from England and a little ted from a place called 'Love from Greece'. I would like to pass my thanks to the people from England and 'Love from Greece'.

My nurse today was Laura and she gave me some sugar water while the doctors took some more blood, luckily no attempt to obtain them by beaming them up! Just a needle.

My nurse at night was Carole at the start of her shift my 'long line' decided to pack up without my permission. This means I needed some more 'access' points to provide me with my drugs. I have had 'normal' access provided to which I have complained. Normal? They put me in splints to stop me kicking the 'access' points off. Anyway following the stress of it all and my ferocious complaints, my temperature went up a bit.

I should have been going for my operation in the morning but I wasn't ready so I kept my temperature up all night and the anethesists said I couldn't go. I now have to wait until Friday, but I will have to consider if it suits my social plans. It is nice being told that I am hot though!
