Monday 8th October

After a brief visit to HDU I have again been evicted for disturbing the peace! I have really found my lungs so had no problem telling everyone on HDU when I wasn't happy.

Before my eviction notice was rubber stamped the nurses had to remove my arterial 'line' as well as my chest dressing so I got to show off my battle scars. After a bit of dramatic bleeding (normal.....ish) and a lot of crying this was done......and I was off. I asked my HDU nurse Jane (a different one to all the other Janes) to act as my porter and off we ascended back to the top of K2!

Back on the top of K2 the doctors did an ECG check on me and found all was well. Good work!

I am still in rehab which is not nice, the nurses are having to work hard to keep me on the wagon. I have found out there is another use for my favourite sedative, vets use it to sedate horses! Horses! I am addicted to Horse Tranquilliser!

The royal mail managed to deliver me a card today, it was from my friend Ria telling me she was doing well and wishing me well. Nice!

I was looked after on the top of K2 by Sarah who also took out my neck 'line' so I am now intravenous free! At night Irene (the top of K2 one not the ICU one) looked after me and I behaved quite well......considering.

Well done at losing all your lines at last! Fantastic to hear your ECG was good too! We think you are amazing to have made such a speedy recovery after your very big op.

I bet it's nice to be back on K2 and to have cuddles again with Mummy and Daddy. Glad to hear all is well and look forward to seeing you when you are much better!

Lots of love
