Sunday, a day of rest!
I have had another trip today to the catheter theatre for some more investigation. This is a huge job for the doctors and nurses because of the amount of kit I demand that comes with me.
I also had a perfusionist who came to look after me, all the way from Leicester so the Alder Hey people could have a rest. I would like to say thank you, I appreciate it very much.
My friends Aurora the Tiger, Maximoo the Moomin and Ted the Bear were allowed in my cot for a while today. Cerys is with me as usual all day and all night. There has been much debate over Cerys, the nurses are ganging up against my dad and trying to say Cerys is a Giraffe. A Giraffe! They are so silly, Cerys is a Welsh Camel, the fact that she doesn't have any humps is because this hospital is very warm and she has lost all her fluids and the nurses will not treat animals.
My dad told me he wasn't allowed to have any peas with his tea. My Grandma Gwen thinks he doesn't like them so he got carrots and runner beans. My mum got peas, my dad says he is not happy because he likes peas.
I also received a gift from Dove Holes Harvest, my cousins Harry, Jake and Josh sent lots of fruit and hot chocolate, my mum and dad appreciated it very much.
I was looked after by Jane, Shirley and Tina in the day and Jane (who looked after me before in ICU, but not the first Jane) and Helen (Not the Helen who looked after me the first time in ICU as well). Helen played some CD's for me which was nice and I had a quiet night on the ECMO machine.
