Thursday 4th October

I have found out that the baby crane has delivered me a new friend. Congratulations to Jack for his new little brother Samuel (and to his mum and dad of course). The crane also delivered me a picture of Sam, he looks nice but a bit too young for me!

I have had my chest drains taken out today so I now have no tubes coming out of my chest. I now only have a 'line' into my groin, one in my neck and a little one in my hand. My right hand is free to throw punches at anyone who comes too close!

The nurses are trying to turn me into toast, they have put a toaster above my bed to warm me up. It is really nice. Apparently 'cardiac' babies should be kept nice and warm so I have demanded my wardrobe be bought to my cot ready for when I can get dressed.

A hot air balloon landed in ICU this morning addressed to me! It has a picture of Tigger on it and it says Get Well Soon. It arrived in a big box with my name on it. Great! I would like to say thanks to my friend Oliver for flying it to Liverpool for me (and to his mum and dad for the help with the directions). Very romantic!

I have been looked after by Katie and Liz in the day and by Rachel (not my mum although she does help a bit) at night and I have been really good all night.
