Today I purchased some new wheels! I have been behaving really well so my nurses decided I had earned a ride out in some shiny new wheels. After buzzing around the top of K2 for a while, my mum and dad drove me all the way to Intensive Care to say thank you, goodbye and see you sometime in the future. I also took them a photographic portrait of me to put on their Hall of Fame display board.
Today my new wheels will be taking me home!
In ICU I saw one of the doctors who helped me when I was arrested when I made my dramatic entry into ICU and who helped me come off the ECMO machine. She was very happy that I was going home, I think they are going to miss me!
I sent my dad to clean out my room on the top of K2 and to make sure my entourage of fluffy friends were safely secured in my car. He then had to go and clean up in Ronald MacDonald House and make sure my bear napped friends were released safely.
After collecting my medicine and food I said Au Revoir to all the nurses on the top of K2 and to Andrea who had helped sort out my new wheels. I would like to thank all the ICU Doctors and Nurses and the top of K2 Doctors and Nurses for helping my poorly heart get well enough to go home!
When I got back to my House there were some Welcome Home banners all across the front of my house, thank you to my Grannies for their creative flair! Nice! Thank you also to my Grumps for the vision behind the creation!
Again I would like to say thank you to all the Alder Hey staff for helping make my poorly heart well enough to go home! See you all soon!
