Tuesday 2nd October

I actually stuck to a plan! The surgeon had left strict instructions with the night shift doctors and nurses on how I should behave, and I behaved! My mum and dad were very happy.

Claire (my ICU nurse from the first three nights) came to see me and said that I had done an enormous 'Hannah Do' over the weekend, it made everyone chuckle.

I have got my Alder Hey pink & white striped hat on, the same one I wore for my christening. My mum has got matching team colours on, her t shirt is pink and white striped as well. We do look cool!

On Friday I received a gift from the baby next door to me on top of K2. The baby was called Matthew and he was busy recovering from his operation, he had taken my 'slot' on Wednesday when I decided to postpone my operation. Matthew sent his mum Sarah and dad Richard to the puppy shop and they came back with a nice pink and white fluffy dog with the cutest eyes ever. I am a bit worried about a colour clash though, my real life dog Chester is ginger and white, just like my dad!

I have been visited by lots of people again today, Shirley who has been looking after me says she is under pressure as she is in the public eye. Irene also looked after me as well.

At night Helen (the same one as last night) looked after me again and I had a really nice sleep.
